There has recently been a great deal of discussion about the signage around the town. The position is this; There was a community engagement drop-in session held at the War Memorial Park on February 9th 2023 to discuss the levelling up fund which included the proposed signage changes. This was extremely well attended with circa 150 people throughout the day. There were several members from Denbighshire County Council present to discuss the plans and to answer any questions.

At that meeting the proposed sign schedule was available for inspection.

Everyone was informed that this schedule was available in the library for closer inspection until February 23rd and feedback forms were available. In fact only 9 people responded and there was no comment made about the signs in any of these. There were a couple of errors made by the contractor which are now being addressed but substantially the signage as presented at the original meeting is the one which will be implemented. The curious positioning of the obscured directional sign in the Town Centre has nothing to do with this exercise and has been in existence for several years. Apparently this is highways and not council responsibility, however DCC has kindly offered to see if it can alter the signs to make them more sensible. If there are any further issues concerning the signs, it would be useful if these can be addressed to as the council will be able to process these in a more direct and formal manner.
